Horseshoe Bend at Sunrise
It was no more than 7 in the morning and already the heat of the day began on the plateau, in contrast to the cool Colorado River that flows below. Originally named for it's red color, this section of the Colorado River now runs cool and clear because of the Glen Canyon Dam a few miles upstream.
