Moon over San Xavier I
Recently, work completed on the renevation of the west tower at the San Xavier Mission. This is the first time in several years that the west tower has not been covered with scaffolding. Word had gotten around that on this Friday night the west tower would be lit up for the first time since the completion of the renovation. When I arrived just before sunset, nearly a hundred photographers were setup in in front of the mission. Looking at the moon and sky, I walked away from this group and found only a few photographers trying to capture the rising full moon. I proceeded to take many shots of the mission, both from close by and from far away, the best of which are included in this set of four photos, "Moon over San Xavier Mission" taken that night.
